“THROUGH THE WATER’S MIRROR”

“Through the water’s mirror” is the working title of the short story “Bojura” by the great master of the short story Yordan Yovkov, who inspired us to create this performance.

„А Божура стоеше на скалата. В ума й нямаше мисъл, пред очите й беше тъмно, не виждаше водата, не чуваше плясъка й. ..И мракът пред нея се разведряваше, водата ставаше светла, тиха, прозрачна като стъкло. Дълбоко, дълбоко в нея се оглеждаше синьо небе, бели облаци. И ето из тия светли глъбини изплава образът й….”

“Through the water’s mirror” is a music and dance legend based on the story “Bojura”. The story-themed paintings will elevate the everyday to another level and play with your ideas of the familiar…
The audience will be able to enjoy some of the established as well as new works from the repertoire of the Representative Folklore Ensemble “Shevitsa”. Dancers and singers will enter into different incarnations and will be re-imagined and transformed to show those old times and manners and their contemporary interpretation…
